Participation in the dialogue on the Strategy for Women Entrepreneurship in BiH
Representatives of the Foundation 787 on November 19, 2015 – the date which the world commemorates as the International Day for Women Entrepreneurship, attended round table “Strategic Positioning of Women Entrepreneurship”. The round table was organized by the USAID / SIDA Growth-Oriented Local Development (GOLD) Project and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in BiH “ONE”.
Successful entrepreneurial stories were presented by Snježana Kopruner, co-owner and CEO of GM Factory Machinery, Zvezdana Žujo, Co-owner and Director of Communis, and Adnana Handžić, Executive and Creative Director of Metaphyzika. These entrepreneurs talked about the activities and work that they have invested in their own businesses, as well as about the need for a strategy for women entrepreneurship.
Other panellists and advocates of this Strategy were Maja Gasal Vražalica, Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Mato Franičević, Deputy Minister of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Duljko Hasic, Director of the Institute for Education of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Besima Boric, Honorary Member of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in BiH “ONE” and Merima Avdagić, Advisor for entrepreneurship, gender equality and youth of the USAID / SIDA Gold Project.
The event was closed with the conclusion that a lot of work awaits different stakeholders as well as organizations present at the gathering, whose coordination is crucial for adaptation of the Strategy for Women Entrepreneurship, especially bearing in mind requirements of the Reform Agenda for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
