The Enterprise Europe Network offers numerous opportunities to businesses in BiH

On September 13, 2018 Foundation 787 attended an all-day presentation related to opportunities offered through the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) which was organized by the University of Sarajevo. Given that EEN offers many opportunities to sole-proprietors and companies in BiH, we attended an interactive presentation in order to work more efficiently with youth and women interested and engaged in entrepreneurship in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

EEN is a key instrument of the European strategy for the stimulation of economic development and for job creation.  Launched in 2008 by the Directorate General of the European Commission DG GROW, with its 3,000 local experts in more than 600 locations in 60 countries around world, EEN Network has grown into the world’s biggest entrepreneurial network that supports the competitiveness and innovation of small and medium enterprises with international ambitions.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Enterprise Europe Network has been operating since 2009 and from 2015 it was organized through consortium of Federation BiH and Republika Srpska.

At the meeting we gained more knowledge and information on opportunities that are available primarily to innovative businesses, which besides the financing options include: assessment of innovation (a one-day analytical process which results in a comprehensive report that, among other things, compares business performance with other businesses in Europe based on various criteria) and registration on the EEN platform through which businesses can look into technological offers/demand, business offers/demand and R&D (research and development) offers. For more information, please contact our team or directly to the members of the EEN consortium in BiH through the website.
